Day 1 Cochin: Arrive Cochin by flight or train. On arrival, meet and greet by Concept Voyages representative and transfer to the City Hotel.  Go for a short sight seeing tour of Cochin. Known as the queen of the Arabian Sea is one of the most interesting cities of India and has one of the finest natural harbours in the world. St Francis Church, built in 1510 by friars brought to India by Vasco da Gama, is the first European church built in India and is the site where da Gama was buried. The Jewish Synagogue was built in 1568, Chinese hand-painted tiles are one of the attraction. This, the only Synagogue in India has a nostalgic past of a Jewish Diaspora. The "Dutch Palace" was built in the 1550s; the palace contains excellent mythological murals and a rare example of traditional Keralite flooring - a subtle mix of burnt coconut shells, lime, plant juices and egg whites - which gives the effect of polished marble. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 2 Cochin to Munnar (130 kms, 3 hrs):  Morning, after breakfast, proceed to Munnar, known as nature lover’s paradise. Enjoy the sight seeing places of Munnar.  Munnar, the nature-lover’s paradise, snuggling in the green and serene Kannan Devan Hills lies the quite and restful resort of Munnar, at an altitude of 1524 m and 136 km off Cochin. Panoramic views of low-flying clouds and mist filled valleys make it a pretty little heaven with a cool bracing climate. Overnight at the Resort.
Day 3 Munnar: Breakfast at resort, proceed for sight seeing tour of Munnar. Visit, Mattupetty, Top Station, Kundala etc.. Visit Eravikulam National Park known for the Nilgiri Thar, an endangered species and Mattuppetty dam. Visit tea plantation and tea factory, to watch tea being picked, to learn how tea is processed, smell the sweet scent of tea wafting through the air and buy the tea directly from the gardens. Overnight at the Resort.
Day 4 Munnar to Periyar (90 kms, 2 hrs, 30 mins):  Breakfast at resort, transfer to Periyar, the famous wildlife destination of Kerala. Perched amidst dense greenery, in the outskirts of the Periyar Tiger Reserve, the sole Tiger reserve of the Country, Thekkady, with its bountiful treasures of tropical flora and fauna, is the ultimate reservoir, of many an endangered species and a rich tribal culture. The greatest attraction of Periyar remains the large herds of wild elephants, which come down to the lakes edge. Evening, enjoy a boat cruise through the Periyar Lake. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 5 Periyar to Kumarakom (145 kms, 3 hrs, 30 mins) & Kumarakom to Alleppey by Houseboat: After breakfast, check out from the Hotel & proceed to Kumarakom, which is famous for its backwater & scenic beauty, sprinkled with traditional houseboats, country crafts, rural lifestyles and tranquillity. On arrival at Kumarakom check in for the Houseboat cruise to Alleppey. What is truly magical about a houseboat ride is the breathtaking view of the untouched and otherwise inaccessible rural Kerala that it offers. The houseboats have all the creature comforts of a good hotel including furnished bedrooms, modern toilets, cozy living rooms, a kitchen and even a balcony for angling. Meals would be cooked on board and supplemented with fresh fish from the backwaters. Today, the tradition is still continued and the food from the local cuisine is served by the Kuttanad localities, on board! Enjoy your dinner & overnight at the Houseboat.
Day 6 Alleppey to Kovalam: After breakfast, disembark from the houseboat and proceed to Kovalam, the world-renowned beach destination. Kovalam is a world famous Indian tropical beach, boarded by blue waters and lush coconut gardens, is a western cultural dot on a traditional and orthodox Kerala physique. Blue water and favourable climate make Kovalam a favourite year-round spot for swimming. Sea, here, is pacific and shallow where you can take a dip in the saline waters.

Day 7 Kovalam-Kanyakumari-Kovalam: Morning, depart for Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of the Peninsula. Enroute, visit Padmanabhapuram palace & Sucheendram Temple. Kanyakumari, once referred to as the "ALEXANDRIA OF THE EAST", has been a great centre for art, culture, civilization and pilgrimage for years. This is the only place in India where one can enjoy the unique experience of watching the sunset and moonrise simultaneously on a full moon evening. Enjoy the sight seeing place of Kanyakumari. Day 1 Chennai: Arrive at Chennai railway station or airport. Meet and greet by Concept Voyages representative and transfer to hotel. Afternoon proceed for sightseeing tour of Chennai. There are several tourist attractions worth visiting in and around Chennai. Stretched over an area of 13 km, Marina Beach is the second longest beach in the world. The St. George Fort, built in 1653, is currently used as the state government's secretariat. Santhome Cathedral was built around 14th-15th century and is another colonial structure worth visiting. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Kapaleeshwar Temple is the oldest temple in Chennai. Another important temple in the city dedicated to Lord Krishna is Parthsarthy Temple. The National Art Gallery, initially known as Victoria Memorial Hall, houses a good collection of old paintings and sculptures. The Snake Park has a large collection of snakes and many other reptiles. Evening return back to hotel for overnight stay.

 Day 2 Chennai to Kanchipuram-Mahabalipuram: Arrive Chennai airport/railway station. Meet and greet by Concept Voyages representative and transfer to Kanchipuram. Visit Kanchi Kamakshi Temple. Kanchipuram (75 kms from Chennai) is one of the seven holy cities in the country, and a visit is believed to bestow salvation. Kanchipuram once had over a thousand temples. Today, there are more than a hundred extant, and all are worth a visit. Kanchipuram also has some notable churches and mosques. Ancient Kanchipuram is the city of thousand temples and is one of the seven most sacred pilgrim centres for the Hindus. This city is also known as Kanchi. There now remain about 126 temples in Kanchi and a few more in its outskirts. The city was the capital of the early Cholas and it was the Pallava capital between the 6th and 8th centuries. Afternoon transfer to Mahabalipuram (Mamallapuram) (65 kms from Kanchi). Mamallapuram is among the most outstanding examples of Dravidian art and architecture and a jewel in the crown of Tamil Nadu. In a land that is liberally strewn with some of the best in temple art, Mamallapuram holds its own, and stands as a silent yet eloquent witness to the glory of its creators. The monuments are floodlit at night and so it is possible to enjoy their beauty even after sunset. Overnight stay at Mahabalipuram.

Day 3 Mahabalipuram-Tanjore (309 km - 6hrs drive): After breakfast, visit rest of the Mahabalipuram temples and transfer to Tanjore. Tanjore or Thanjavur rose to glory during the later Chola period between the 9th and 14th centuries A.D. It also flourished later during the rule of the Nayaks and Mahrattas. The headquarters of this district has the same name as the district. It has been the treasure house of art for centuries. It is called the Rice Bowl of Tamil Nadu. Thanjavur is well-known throughout the world for being the home of the Brahadeeswara temple, the magnificent palace, Rajah Serfoji's Saraswathi Mahal Library, Art Gallery and also for its exquisite handicrafts like the Art Plate, pith work, bronze icons, Thanjavur paintings and the classical South Indian musical instruments. Overnight stay at Tanjore.

Day 4 Tanjore-Madurai (163 km - 4 Hrs): Breakfast at hotel. Visit Tanjore temples before proceeding to Madurai. Madurai is Known as Athens of the East. It is the oldest city in Tamil Nadu and Madurai lies on the banks of the River Vaigai. Madurai is one of the liveliest cities in South India it was originally known as Kadambavanam or the "forest of Kadamba" or the Nauclea kadamba. Tamil and Greek documents record its existence from the 4th century B.C. Being in the heart of Tamil Nadu, Madurai has fostered an essentially Dravidian and Tamil culture. Famous for its cultural and scholarly pursuits, the city had an academy consisting of critics, poets and savants highly esteemed both by kings and commoners. It was in Madurai that three successful conferences of Tamil scholars called sangams flourished under benevolent royal support.. Viist Madhura Meenakshi temple in the afternoon and stay for evening Haarati pooja. The Chungadi cotton sarees are the speciality of this city with its colourful tie and dye motifs. Handicrafts, brassware, bronze items and the famous wooden toys of Madurai are some of the notable artefactsReturn to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5 Madurai-Rameshwaram-Madurai (2 hrs): Breakfast at hotel, transfer to Rameshwaram, a small island in the Gulf of Mannar, is a major pilgrim centre. It is connected to the mainland by road and railway bridges. Rameswaram is a holy place because Sri Rama, on his return from Sri Lanka, offered his thanks to Lord Shiva and performed pooja to wash away his sin in killing the Demon King, Ravana.  Rameswaram is known for its 22 theerthas or wells in and around the main temple. This place is equally sacred to both Vaishnavites and Shaivites. According to Hindu Mythology, if one visits Rameswaram and prays to Lord Shiva one will be relieved of one’s sins. The Ramanathaswamy temple is renowned for its magnificent corridors and massive sculptured pillars. The third corridor of Ramanathaswamy temple is the longest one in the world. The Olaikuda beach is 1 km from the main temple and s engulfed by coral reefs, which makes bathing in the sea safe and enjoyable. With diving glasses and respiration tubes, scuba diving is safe and possible. Variety of fishes including export quality fish like prawns, sea cucumber, and lobster are available here. Rameswaram is also famous for its dry fish. Evening return back to Madurai for overnight stay.
 
Day 6 Madurai-Kanyakumari (5 hrs, 30 minutes): Breakfast at hotel. Depart early morning from Madurai to KanyaKumari. Reach Kanya Kumari.  Visit Vivekananda rock memorial and museum. Requirement:

  1. A minimum of 2 persons booking is required as the rates offered are on per person basis on twin sharing room unless specified in the package

Payments:

  • All bookings should be made at least 17 days prior to the travel date with 50% advance payment
  • All rates are quoted in Indian Rupees. Services not utilized are Non-Refundable.
  • No refunds will be made after availing of the travel services, in case of 'No Show’, passenger delays, any changes made in the dates and itinerary, early checkout or partial utilization of services.
  • Please note that after the finalization of the Tour/ service Cost, if there are any hike in entrance fees at sightseeing places, taxes, fuel surcharges or any other levies by the Government, the same would be charged as extra.
